Our sectors

Support for the settings that shape everyday lives.

CareRise Group focuses on support roles in education and care. Each sector has its own routines, responsibilities and expectations — and so does every setting within it.

Schools & SEND settings

Helping pupils take part in learning and school life.

SEND schools and mainstream schools sometimes need additional support staff — to help individual pupils, small groups or whole classes take part in learning, settle into routines and feel safe in school.

We discuss staffing enquiries for learning support assistants, SEND support workers and teaching assistants, where within our confirmed recruitment scope. Every worker follows the school’s own procedures, safeguarding arrangements and direction from teaching and SEND staff.

Roles we discuss

  • Learning support assistants
  • SEND support workers
  • Teaching assistants (subject to confirmed recruitment scope)

What we’ll ask about

  • The age range and needs of the pupils being supported
  • Whether support is one-to-one, small group or classroom-based
  • The school’s behaviour, communication and safeguarding procedures
  • Induction, the named contact on site and how feedback is shared

Children’s residential homes

Consistent, caring adults within the home’s arrangements.

Children’s residential homes need workers who can offer warmth, patience and consistency — helping children and young people with daily routines, emotional reassurance and positive activities.

We discuss staffing enquiries with homes about their requirements. The home remains responsible for its care, its placement plans and its supervision of staff; workers follow the home’s policies, each young person’s agreed plans and the instructions of the home’s management.

Roles we discuss

  • Children’s residential support workers
  • Support workers

What we’ll ask about

  • Shift patterns, including any waking or sleeping nights
  • The experience and training the home requires for the role
  • The home’s induction, supervision and recording arrangements
  • How continuity of staff can be supported for the young people

Care & support organisations

Exploring support-worker roles, one organisation at a time.

Other care and support organisations may also need support workers. Because these settings vary widely, we discuss each organisation’s requirements individually so the responsibilities, experience and placement arrangements can be assessed.

Our service scope for this sector is still being confirmed. We will be clear about whether a role is something we can help with before any arrangements are made. We do not provide nursing, clinical or medical staffing.

Roles we discuss

  • Support workers (subject to confirming service scope)

What we’ll ask about

  • Who is being supported and in what kind of setting
  • The tasks the role involves and the training it requires
  • Supervision, care plans and how the worker records support
  • Whether the role is within our confirmed recruitment scope

Day-to-day support

What support can involve

Depending on the role, agreed plans and the worker’s training and competence:

  • Personal care

Sensitive help with washing, dressing, toileting, grooming and hygiene, where included in the agreed duties.

  • Emotional support

Listening, offering reassurance and supporting people to express their feelings.

  • Daily routines

Help with getting ready for school, mealtimes and bedtime routines.

  • Education and learning

Supporting agreed learning activities, participation and communication with relevant professionals.

  • Play and activities

Supporting games, creative activities and suitable outings that encourage enjoyment and social connection.

  • Not sure if a role fits?

Tell us about it and we’ll discuss whether it is within our scope.

Please note

Responsibilities vary by placement. Every worker must follow the relevant care plans, school procedures, safeguarding arrangements and supervision of the setting they work in, and should only carry out tasks they have been trained for and are competent to do. CareRise Group does not offer clinical procedures or specialist interventions.
