For children’s residential homes

Support workers who understand what a home needs.

Every children’s home has its own rhythm, its own young people and its own way of doing things. CareRise Group is a recruitment agency that starts by understanding yours, then discusses whether we can help with the support workers you need.

Our approach

What we understand about residential work

Residential support isn’t like other staffing. These are the things we’ll want to get right with you.

  • Consistency matters

Children and young people often do better with familiar adults. We’ll talk with you about continuity, and about longer-term assignments where that suits the home.

  • Shifts aren’t nine to five

Days, evenings, weekends and nights all look different in a home. We discuss the actual pattern you need rather than a generic booking.

  • Your plans come first

Workers follow the home’s policies, each young person’s agreed plans and the direction of the home’s management. They don’t bring their own approach.

  • Handover and recording

Good handovers and accurate records keep everyone safe. We’ll make sure workers know your recording and handover practices are part of the role.

Your requirements

What we’ll ask you

  • The shift pattern, including any waking or sleeping nights
  • The experience and qualifications the home requires for the role
  • How new workers are inducted, and whether a shadow shift is expected
  • Who will supervise the worker, and how feedback reaches us
  • Any information the home needs to see before someone starts
  • Practical requirements of the role, such as driving
  • Any behaviour support or physical intervention approach your home uses, so we only propose workers trained in it

Keep young people’s details private

Please don’t share young people’s names or details when you contact us. We don’t need them to discuss staffing.

Roles we can discuss

  • Children’s residential support workers
  • Support workers

We don’t supply nursing, clinical or therapeutic staff, and we don’t run children’s homes ourselves.

Before anyone starts

We intend to complete safer recruitment checks for every worker we propose: identity and right to work, employment history and references, relevant qualifications and experience, and the appropriate DBS check with barred-list information where the role is eligible.

We will share confirmation of the checks completed, so the home can satisfy itself that a worker is suitable before they start. The home remains responsible for its own safeguarding arrangements, induction and supervision. DBS checks are one part of safer recruitment; they can’t guarantee that someone is safe on their own.

These standards are proposed and awaiting approval by CareRise Group’s owners.

The process

How it works

  1. Step 1: Tell us what you need.

The role, the shift pattern, the location and when you’d like someone to start.

  2. Step 2: We discuss suitability.

Experience, qualifications, checks and induction arrangements for your home.

  3. Step 3: Confirm arrangements.

Availability, checks and terms are agreed before any work begins.

  4. Step 4: Keep talking.

Your feedback helps us raise concerns early and support continuity.

A new agency

Clear about where we are

CareRise Group is a new agency. We don’t publish client lists, placement numbers or testimonials we don’t have. What we can offer is a careful conversation about your home’s needs, and a straight answer about what we can and can’t provide.

Please note

Service options and availability are confirmed individually. An enquiry does not guarantee staffing cover.

Talk to us about your home.

Tell us about the role and the shift pattern, and we’ll discuss whether we can help.
